Kumbhalgarh Fort

Kumbhalgarh fort is situated about 90km from the city of Udaipur and is a great place to visit outside of Udaipur. This hilltop fort is included in the list of World Heritage sites, and the architecture is just mesmerizing. It is one of the prominent forts in the Mewar kingdom.

Bada Mahal

The Bada Mahal is the men’s section of the city palace. This massive palace holds gorgeous gardens, lawns, huge courtyards and great vies from the terraces and balconies. This Rajput-Mughal-style palace is a great place to enjoy the royal feel of the city.

Sajjan Garh Palace

Just as some other best places to visit in Udaipur, the Sajjangarh palace of Udaipur provides a great view of the Pichola lake as it is situated 950m on a hill above sea level. This palace is also called ‘monsoon palace’ as it used this to watch the progress of the monsoon clouds by the kings of Mewar.

Chittorgarh Fort

Chittorgarh fort is one of the largest forts of India and is also included in the list of world heritage sites. This fort was the capital of the Mewar kingdom. This historically significant fort displays Rajputana culture with great detail. This fort is situated 115 km from Udaipur in the city of Chittorgarh.

Fateh Prakash Palace

This spectacular piece of architecture is a unique palace. A large number of paintings and artifacts are a great illustration of the history and culture of the city. The palace is now converted into a museum and is a great place to observe the artwork of Rajput culture.

Jag Mandir Palace

This architectural marvel is situated on an island in Pichola lake. The great lake-side sunset view offered by this palace is just blissful. To get to the palace, a 30 min boat ride is to be taken from the banks of the lake.

Taj Lake Palace

Taj Lake Palace is one of the most romantic structures of Udaipur. The palace was used as a recreation spot of the king. Boasting 66 rooms, the grand palace has been converted into a heritage hotel and hosts tourists worldwide.
