Lakkar Bazaar is one of the popular street shopping places famous for wooden decorative objects. His bazaar was originated from the group of Sikh carpenters from Hoshiarpur. The Lakkar bazaar also acts as the hike’s starting point to the Jakhoo peak. His place is best to get souvenirs while you are in Shimla.

Shimla Christ Church

Visit Kufri

Kufri is a hill station present about 15 km from Shimla and is quite a retreat if you’re in Shimla, and snow is something that excites you. Due to the higher altitude of Kufri, it experiences snowfall throughout the winters. Whi e there’s not much to see in Kufri as such, the panoramic views and temples after a bit of trekking are worth the time.

Mashru Peak is the highest point here, and one can reach it by trekking up to that point. One must visit Kufri’s zoological park, famous for having rare Antelopes, Felines, Bears, and birds, including the Himalayan Monal, the state bird of Himachal Pradesh.

Kufri is a stop and enjoys spot for visitors of Shimla. As t takes less time to explore, Kufri’s visit to this place can be clubbed with other visitable sites like Chail and Narkanda. Kufri is a relatively crowded and popular attraction as almost everyone visiting Shimla comes here.

Visit Chail

Chail is a small village in Himachal Pradesh and is present at the height of 2250m above sea level. Cha l is also known as a hiker’s paradise, surrounded by lush greenery and mesmerizing views from such a great height. It s bound to give a tourist a memorable travelling experience.

This place is famous for having the world’s highest cricket and polo grounds. Cha l was also once the summer capital of Kings of Patiala. Tattapani is a village present on the banks of river Sutlej located 60km from Shimla. It is famous for its hot sulphur spring that can cure properties for health ailments like stress, joint pain, fatigue, and other skin diseases. Chadwick Falls

Chadwick Falls is located in the Glen Forests of the beautiful city of Shimla. This stream of water trickles from a height of about 100 meters. Local call this waterfall ‘Chidku Jhaar.’ It was named so because the locals thought only sparrows could reach the top of the waterfall and not humans.

 This beautiful location is minutes away from the central city of Shimla and is a must-visit for anyone exploring Shimla.

The best time to visit-Although the weather is fantastic here throughout the year, months like April-June will be suitable. If you want to enjoy snowfall, consider visiting this place in January-February.
